How Drive By Outreach Works
How is this different from a normal homeless shelter?
Many physical shelters are overwhelmed, miles away from where encampments are situated, or have strict rules that exclude people with pets, couples, or those with mobility impairments. We eliminate transit barriers completely by driving directly in our own vehicles to where our unhoused friends are located.
How do mobile showers work?
Rather than maintaining a permanent facility, we rent mobile shower trailers seasonally. We set up at designated, coordinated community locations with hot running water, clean towels, soap, and clean undergarments so people can refresh with dignity.
Can I donate physical supplies instead of money?
We only accept monetary donations at this time. This ensures our volunteers can purchase the exact, fresh items, toiletries, and food required for each specific run, and helps fund our seasonal mobile shower trailer rentals.
